Jackie + Nik Porcina’s Wedding Day

It was not that long ago that I received a very excited message from Jackie to tell me that she and Nik had gotten engaged over the Christmas Holidays and could not wait to book me in for their photos!

Nik and Jackie were once tenants of ours in the basement suite of our home.   Right from the start I could tell that these two were going to be together for life.  Their energy when around each other and their adorable love is something I wish I see more of these days!

I knew that they were planning a small wedding with just a few close friends and family at a nearby church in Fort Langley, BC.  So I started to think of a location we could go to for pictures that’s a little different, but close by.  I spent about two days driving around with my kids sleeping in the truck, looking for that perfect spot.  It turned out to be a Hazelnut farm that caught my eye and I approached the owners to ask permission to use it.   I love doing this as every time I have the owners are so flattered and open the gates right up for us to use! 🙂

I’m happy to share these images with you that show the passion and love these two share for each other, but it does come with a heavy heart.  Sadly only a few short weeks after the wedding, Nik and Jackie learned that their little baby on the way was not meant to be.  Someone had other plans for this family and Jackie lost the baby.   I am amazed at the strength these two have shown through all of this and am looking forward to hearing the good news when they decide to try again.

All my love!

Jen

Jackie Jen,

Thank you so much for everything!! <3 This day wouldnt have been the same without you and the pictures are beautiful! They caputured everything i was feeling and i love that i can see that in the pictures 🙂

I couldnt have imagined anyone else doing this for us, and for being such a support through the hard parts as of lately.

You are truely one of the most amazing people I've met and am glad to say I know you. You do absolutly amazing work and the reason you do is because only some with a heart like yours can see special things in people.

And once we try again we'll be giving you a call when the next little one desides to join us!

Thank you so much Jen!

Lots of Love,
