Last week I met up with a close family friend and her family. This young mother of two amazing little angels has been struggling to be herself for 2 years now.
Since the birth of her second child, she has been in and out of hospital with several different/yet related issues. After a few surgeries, they thought they might have the issue under control. Sadly this was not the case. Recently she has been have severe attacks leaving her in a lot of pain and need to go to the hospital. They are getting closer to diganosing what’s wrong, but until then she is struggling with wanting to be home with her family, be a mother and a wife – but unable to! Relying on family and friends to help her through this, help raise her children – she really needed something to lift her spirits.
I have captured this family before and know how important photographs are to her – so it was a no brainer. I sent her a message that once she feels strong enough to come outside for some photos, I would be happy to do so. She left the hospital on Tuesday and on Thursday we were out at the park.
I know that for the hour that we were together, she was able to forget all about the frustrations of her situation and really enjoy some quality time. It was as if time stood still for that hour.
There are a few photographers now calling their sessions Beloved. Using this word it should paint images of pure joy, soft, uninhibited, raw, real – you. I felt that coming through in this session and really hope you share in that when looking through the photos.
Get well soon!!!
