Last February I was contacted by Alanna from Prince George looking for a photographer to capture their big day. I loved this, Vancouver as a destination wedding!!!
On September 16, 2011 Alanna and Ryan along with their close family and friends made the drive to Vancouver. Many came together from across BC – making this not only a wedding day, but family reunion and vacation in the big city!
Set at the beautiful Pinnacle at the Pier hotel, the wedding was perfect. The ceremony was set in a room with floor to ceiling views of the entire city – simply stunning. Although it was a little cloudy, the weather was perfect. Not too hot, not too bright, just the way I like it!
We headed out on the Pier for our family and portrait session, finding fun spots along the way as we walked. If you’ve been to the Lonsdale Quay you’ll know that there are artifacts about how the land was used years ago. We stumbled across the time sheets recreated in a mould. I loved that the name that stood out to me was ‘WILSON’! So had to snap that shot!
I’ve now learned that these two are expecting their first baby!!! So excited for you both! It’s too bad you live so far away, how will I capture this new adventure in your lives from Vancouver! 😉
