It was only 5 months ago that a good friend of mine was expecting the arrival of their first baby – only weeks before I was to have my little Sky. Of course I was over the moon excited for them and had planned to come to the hospital to capture a few of her first images – but that all changed so quickly.
Shortly after Gracie was born it was learned she had a life threatening heart condition, she was rushed quickly to Children’s hospital to receive the very best care she could. The doctors were uncertain of her ability to undergo surgery – only time would tell.
Now as you look at these images you would NEVER know this little fighter had just undergone open heart surgery only a few weeks before our session!! Her smiling bubbly personality was captivating. I loved every minute chatting with her and telling baby stories 🙂
Although you so often see images I capture in a studio, I really loved the opportunity to create these memories for them in their home. I’m sure Gracie’s smile will bring a glow to your heart as she had to mine 🙂
